The chances are you did not even realize that Barbie campers have been nearby since 1970. Something else you probably did not know is that since then, the camper style has changed very little. There have been four inescapable styles such as a box type van, a longer motor home style, a pick up truck camper style and vehicle with a pop up camper trailer.

The date that the first camper was released seems a diminutive odd in reality inspecting Barbie dolls only first came out in 1959. This would have made her just a diminutive young for a driver's license. In any event, while a great many changes were made to Barbie dolls over the years, some of which caused a lot of controversy, the Barbie camper remains the same gas guzzling motor home that it always has.

Realistically though, these toys are great fun for kids. The adventures a child can go on while playing with them are endless. These campers come with so many accessories that it would be hard to believe that any child would lose interest it them at all. This is not to mention they are excellent for both indoor play as well as excursions outside.

The most recent toy make itself is a pretty wondrous feat. Once opened, a child has full passage to the interior of the vehicle. The campers are pretty close to scale size with the dolls, with the dolls being slightly larger in comparison. There are sleeping quarters for the dolls, a kitchen area and in most cases some sort of fold out table ideas to adapt Barbie's meals. The older versions merely have slide open doors to allow the dolls to be located inside.

Because these Barbie campers and accessories are all made of plastic, caring for them is pretty simple. They can undoubtedly be wiped out with a damp cloth and there are no worries of destroying the interior decals because they too, are plastic coated.

The campers come with a large assortment of accessories to simulate a real camping adventure. Tiny skillets, sticks with marshmallows on the ends, eating utensils, are to name but a few. The campers also have quite a few interactive, spirited parts for a child to occupy his or her time such as spirited shower handles and stove knobs.

If you have ever carefully purchasing one of these Barbie campers, do not just make it a Christmas gift. A birthday or any other theorize will do. They make a great toy and just like a G.I. Joe doll and accessories for a boy, they will undoubtedly make any young girl very happy.
